In the late '70s, I became friends with Lazy Ike inventor Rudy Kautzky in Ft. Dodge, Ia. We spent days in his home shop talking lures and fishing. Before he moved into senior living, he gave me a few dozen of his prototypes and concept lures, along with a note (seen in the center of the photo), describing what he gave me. For the purposes of the photo, the lures are divided into function. These are not in "good" condition, but are in "real" condition, the way he gave them to me, except I removed the hooks when my kids were young. |
